Where is the best place to enjoy a cup of tea?

Walking into the Tea Bar at the corner of North 9th and Driggs Ave, one thing is clear, this space is truly magical. There are a plethora of branches on the wall, all twisted and gnarled together, transforming the space into a serene oasis. The hustle and bustle of your day is left outside. Now it’s time to breathe. Time to unwind. Time to reset. Now it’s time for tea.

Kinga Zablocki has lived in Williamsburg her entire life, and has seen the neighborhood grow and change into what it is today. When it was time for her to open up a cafe to share her love of tea, the location was a no-brainer. The details of Tea Bar are evidently intentional, distressed wood, stone countertops and, oh yeah, a staggering selection of teas. Ask Kinga a question about tea and watch her eyes light up; The passion is evident. It’s not until you’re seated and enjoying an amazing cup of high quality tea, perhaps with a gluten free salted peanut butter cookie, that it finally dawns on you. The secret is spilled. The space is meant to feel like a home, because it’s that’s the best way to enjoy tea.
